FeedMate - Automatic Pet Feeder

We are really happy with this food dispenser. It took minutes to put together and we've been using it daily for about a month now. We normally board our cats when we go out of town and purchasing this feeder meant we were finally able to leave them at home where they want to be.The dispenser works perfectly. It takes a little practice to determine the portion sizes. but there's a guide to help figure the amounts; we just tested it against a measuring cup to make sure we were feeding the right portions size. The portion you select is for EACH dish, not the total. Once it's set, there isn't much to do except to fill it and clean it once in a while.One of my cats gets agitated by anything shiny so I am not using the included dishes. Instead, I sat their ceramic dishes in the built in holders. My dishes are slightly small, but they work well enough. I'm not using the audio announcement so I can't comment about that. The sound of the food dropping in the dishes is more than enough of a signal.We feed our cats at 4:30 am and 4:30 pm because that's what they like. We are happy to not have the 4:30 am wakeup every day. I love that they are always being fed the correct portion of food at a consistent time.We've never used a food dispenser before so I have no comparison, however, I believe that this was a good purchase.

Set up was easy. Programming was a little confusing at first. They only have a 24 hour clock. The “portions” feature is also a bit confusing. Takes some math to try and figure out how much to give your pet. If they could add a conversion chart in the instructions instead of just one line of “1 serving = 1.5 teaspoons” that would be incredibly helpful. And on top of that the portions aren't exactly correct so you will need to mess with the settings to figure out what’s best for your pet.Overall pretty decent product, just takes a bit of time to figure out programming to make sure your pet is getting the correct amount of food. Pretty happy with this!

The first day the cats were very skeptical of it, especially when it made a noise, but then when they realized every time the noise goes off food comes out now they run to it when they hear the noise, but it did take them a day to get used to it. My cats are One year old. I am buying my kids this for Xmas for there cats.

This product works great! It’s easy to use, reliable, and performs just as expected. I’m very satisfied with it and will continue to use it.
